![]() ![]() The more time passes, the more stable things become. Finding shortcomings, addressing them, and moving on. I'm doing some brand new things that haven't been attempted before, and it means learning as I go along. A goal of my format was *zero* entities (like HTML's lt, gt, etc) and no redundant closure tags (like XML's /cartridge, /rom, etc), so this was necessary.Īs far as in general, indeed the formatting has been changing a lot. They have millions of combined users, but the space-based indentation polarizes people into either really loving it, or really hating it. Using whitespace as indentation level is something both Python and YAML do. Always appreciate people who put in the effort to try and get things working, so I'm happy to help in those cases.Īs for it being a tiny issue, yeah. It now supports 16 simultaneous audio streams, up to 2 exabytes of data storage, and the markup is stored in an RDBMS. Expect that version sometime before the end of the month.ĮDIT: oh, by the way. Well, I better get the ZFS version out before I get started on that. Each USB drive would represent an entire game cartridge, yeah. maybe I should store each game on its own USB drive formatted with my own file system design. may have to invent my own branch of mathematics to make that happen.Īctually, you know what. Still working on the math to make that possible. The idea is you would resilver your games with each new release, which I'm hoping to change at least five times per release. ![]() But of course you'll need three hard drives to use future releases. ![]() The built-in vdev mirroring + striping in RAID-Z3 is going to be a big win for reliability and performance, too. Going to be great, you can take snapshots (and later restore them) of your entire games at any point, and the deduplication will help cut down on hard drive space for the firmware files. I'm currently working on storing games inside of ZFS zpools. Hey, don't limit me to just twelve more changes. It'll probably change a dozen more times. Last edited on 03:02:13 AM by Vitor Vilela Near pcm, so it's literally impossible to get it working with every single version, but getting it work with bsnes 070+ is good enough. It`s pretty annoying to work with (ROM folders, blah) but it`s something required once on your life (I already did it, but I lost it >_>). It won't work MSU-1, but it will give you a header that you can mix with your MSU-1 xml and make it work with most bsnes versions. Then, download Lævateinn, a bsnes debugger and run your ROM on it. xml rom header found on BMF's hack/MSU-1 thread. xml file or something on recent versions. If I remember correctly, you don't even need any. All bsnes users would stick with it and he can work with his higan and epic all-in-one accurate emulator without problem and MSU-1 wouldn't be a problem anymore. Though that carries the obvious problems and downsides.Įven better: Just convince him to release bsnes v1.00 with only SNES core from lastest higan, v070 interface and done. something unpleasant, if he changes the formats again. So you can continue using Retroarch with the Snes9x core.Or find byuu in real life and threaten him with. I don't recall if the bsnes core in Retroarch works with MSU, but I do know that the Snes9x core does. Is there another emulator I should be using? I'm using bsnes with retroarch and I'm not sure if that is compatible or not with MSU1 functionality. The ROM needs to be in the same folder as the. So I guess my main questions are where do you put the rom file once it has been renamed? In the dialog box, make sure that Save As Type is set to All Files (*.*) ![]() msu file, you can make a blank one by opening notepad, and selecting Save As under the File menu. msu file with the same name as the ROM file. Once you have your randomized game downloaded you'll need to rename it to what your MSU1 files are without the numbers at the end.Ĭorrect on both counts. Official Discord Server (unaffiliated with r/alttpr)įrom my understanding a patched rom is no longer needed in order to use MSU1 functionality with the randomizer. Please read this post for more information.
